Exo-s Overhead Exoskeleton

EXO-S overhead exoskeleton

Work smarter not harder with Hilti's construction exoskeleton

Help relieve the strain on your workforce and keep your projects and worksites running smoothly with the upper-body EXO-S exoskeleton. Our passive (non-motorized) exoskeleton provides ergonomic support. This helps reduce neck and shoulder pain resulting from repetitive or strenuous overhead tasks such as fastening drywall track, installing piping, or surface grinding and sanding.

Extra support for overhead jobsite tasks

Reduce stress on shoulders by up to 60% with our passive exoskeleton

Created specifically for the construction industry, our EXO-S won’t make your muscles weaker or turn you into a robot – it will support you. The EXO-S exoskeleton can reduce the strain and fatigue on your shoulders that come from repetitive overhead tasks by up to 60%, depending on the jobsite task you're doing.

Wearing it during overhead work can prevent wear and tear on your upper body, helping to improve future quality of life. An optional neck support can even be added for extra relief during the most demanding overhead tasks.

How the EXO-S works

Shifting the load from your upper body to your hips during overhead tasks

The EXO-S uses mechanical cable pulling technology to shift the weight from your shoulders to your hips, which are better designed to bear weight. Our exoskeleton provides additional ergonomic support, as well as enhancing your safety and comfort, when performing overhead applications (above shoulder height), such as on walls or ceilings.

Easy to adjust for all body types

No tools or keys needed to fit the exoskeleton to every team member

When you’re on a jobsite, trying to finish a project on time, the last thing you need is something slowing you down. The EXO-S is easier to put on and take off without assistance thanks to the user-friendly design.

With its pre-defined sizes you can adjust it easily to every body type. The intuitive design requires no tools or keys to adjust it, meaning no extra tools to carry or lose onsite. We also offer training and support if you need it.

How to adjust your Exo-S for the right fit

Height and width are adjusted using clearly marked, predefined settings, from sizes XS all the way to XXL

Tension levels can be adjusted simply by turning a knob, with no need for tools or keys

Soft, padded shoulder straps, as well as pads made from non-irritating material on the belt and arm cuffs keep pressure points comfortable

Lightweight and compact design

Won't restrict natural movement so you can work comfortably all day

The EXO-S is specifically designed for use on construction sites to provide support for virtually any overhead work requiring the worker to have their hands above shoulder height. The compact and lightweight design of only 2.4kg allows for an unimpeded range of motion, meaning users can wear it comfortably for an entire shift. It also requires no power source or motors, so it is lower maintenance, more mobile and always ready to use.

Protect your crews and your bottom line

Show that safety counts to help you attract and retain skilled labor

In a time where the construction industry is experiencing a labor shortage, the EXO-S can help keep your team healthier and safer. The exoskeleton helps to minimize risks to your workforce, and by providing a safer workplace you can attract and retain a skilled labor force. The added support provided by the exoskeleton can also mean your team members take fewer sick days, making it easier to deliver projects on time and within budget.
