FAQs
All Nuron batteries are compatible with all Nuron chargers. However, for optimal charging time or to best fit the way you work, we recommend the following charger and battery combinations:

Compact: C 4-22 Nuron charger
Use for light demand applications, where charging speed is not important.
Ideal for: B 22-55

Fast: C 6-22 Nuron charger
Use for medium demand applications, where charging speed is important.
Ideal for : B 22-85, B 22-110, B 22-170

Ultimate: C 8-22 Nuron charger
Use for high demand applications, where charging speed is very important.
Ideal for larger Nuron batteries: B 22-195, B 22-290
Your Nuron batteries will charge faster if you pair them with the right charger. See the information above on which batteries should be used with which chargers.
Pair your tool with the right Nuron battery to get the right balance weight, power and work-per-charge you need for your jobsite task
When you're not using your batteries, avoid exposure to extreme heat or cold, or direct sunlight. Remove them fron chargers and keep them clean.
Use the built-in battery state of health check to check battery status and swap out your batteries when needed. To check the battery's state of health, press the release button of the battery and hold it down for longer than three seconds. Note that the system does not detect a potential malfunction of the battery due to misuse, for example battery dropped or pierced, external heat damage, etc.
Storage and handling
Storage temperature to be kept of between -20°C and +40°C.
Never store batteries where they are exposed to direct sunlight, on heat sources or behind glass.
Only charge batteries that are free of mechanical damage.
Avoid leaving batteries mounted on chargers for extended periods of time. As best practice, disconnect chargers and remove batteries once charging is complete — particularly for storage and transport.
Do not recharge batteries when they are very hot.
Never transport batteries in bulk form.
Safety
Ambient operating temperature to be kept between -17°C and +60°C.
Inspect battery packs regularly.
Use the built-in state of health check of your Nuron batteries to ensure they are fully productive.
Treat batteries with care in order to avoid damage.
Never use the battery as a hammer.
Keep batteries away from rain, moisture and liquids.
Keep batteries clean – remove dust and debris with a dry soft brush or a dry rag.
To store a damaged battery, place the battery in a non-flammable container and cover the battery with dry sand, chalk powder (CaCO3) or silicate (Vermiculite).
Dispose of the container at your Hilti Store or consult your local governmental garbage disposal or public health and safety resources for disposal instructions.
In case of a battery fire: Scoop the battery up with a shovel and drop it into a bucket of water. Leave the battery in the bucket for at least 24 hours.
Battery state of health refers to the remaining life of lithium-ion battery packs. All lithium-ion batteries lose capacity and performance as they age – whether it's tool batteries or laptop and mobile phone batteries. With the Nuron platform, the state of health function gives you guidance on when a battery pack should be replaced. This helps you make sure you are always working with the most productive tools possible. Note that the system does not detect a potential malfunction of the battery due to misue, for example battery dropped or pierced, external heat damage, etc.
No, you do not need to fully discharge a lithium-ion battery before charging. Li-ion batteries are very versatile and there are no specific concerns about battery life being shortened because of "memory effects" from partial charging and discharging.
Nuron batteries contain high-quality lithium-ion cells that are designed to deliver high performance and long life. Individual battery life depends on factors such as what sort of tool is being used, user force, frequency of use, and ambient temperature, among others.
